Qualifications

OpenAccess Coalition membership is open to companies in the semiconductor community that sell or use, or intend to port over, a production-level EDA application that makes use of the OpenAcesss API as the primary access to design data.

Step One

Obtain a quote for your company, based on revenue.

Step Two

Complete the qualification survey.

stop

Wait 24-48 hours to find out if your company is qualified to join.
Your qualification letter will contain a link to fill out the membership agreement and licenses, described below.

Step Three

Fill out and sign the OpenAccess Membership Agreement. Once submitted and reviewed, Si2 will countersign and return the agreement along with an invoice.

Some companies pay directly from the invoice, some companies first require a purchase order to be generated sent back to us (which we will update the invoice and resend). A valid Purchase Order, or a payment allows your membership to be activated. You’re now ready for Step Four.

Step Four

Complete the OpenAccess Software License Agreement. This license provides OpenAccess Coalition members the right to use the API, database source code, compile, and sell and distribute products (executables) which make use of the database. The license does not allow resale of the database, nor distribution of the source code. Once completed, access to the code repository will be enabled.

Step Five (Optional)

OpenAccess Extensions allow additional functionality to be added to the core, standard code. The Extensions Steering Group (ESG) has a number of standardized extensions for use, including the OpenAccess Scripting Interface (oaScript). Use of these extensions required agreeing to the ESG License.

Expedite

Though this process includes up to five steps, it can be expedited and completed in a very short time. The qualification form includes an “expedite” request, if so desired.
