The Si2Delta OA API documentation comparison tools has been integrated into the Si2
Online OpenAccess Docs.
This feature shows
differences from the previous major release of the the OpenAccess API documentation
at a page-level granularity in an easy-to-read display format. Si2Delta was developed for use
internally to speed integration of API changes into the Si2 OpenAccess 22 Tutorial and Online Course.
Note: The Si2Delta tool is available as an OpenAccess Contribution download from the OpenEDA
Si2Delta project.
Si2Delta Index: Icon is a
link to Si2Delta main index which lists API pages:
Only in the lastest previous major release.
Only in the this release.
Changed between this release and the lastest previous major releases.
Same in both releases.
The SiDelta Index icon will appear in the header of every OA API page.
New Page: Icon is a marker that the page is new.
This icon will appear in the header of new pages only.
Page Changes Icon is a link to changes.
This icon will appear in the header of changed pages only.
Reset the Viewable Si2Delta release
The Si2Delta icons will only appear in page headers of the current release of the OA API.
Initially, the current release is the first Online OA API docs that a user selects to view.
The previous release in the compariosn will not have si2Delta headers (which would be extremely
confusing).
When you want to Reset a different release of the online docs to be the current
release (and display the Si2Delta headers for it's comparison data to it's previous major release)
you must click on the link:Set as Si2Delta current release in the top center of any API doc header:
Example header and reset:
Si2 Online Docs: OpenAccess 2.2.6 (2.2_p052) API
(Set as Si2Delta current release )
The link will reset the current release and Si2Delta settings for your user account.
