  • What is a openeda.Si2.org company coordinator?

    Si2 restricts file downnloads, and other openeda.Si2.org features, to Si2 member companies. A Si2 member company coordinator monitors and approves openeda.Si2.org accounts for individuals in his/her company.

  • How does a user get an openeda.Si2.org account?

    Anyone can register for a new account on openeda.Si2.org, however, the first item on the registration form is the selection of the user's company from a list of current Si2 member companies.
    Once a user has submitted this new registration form, an email is sent to the selected company coordinator that a new account requires approval. This notification email contains a URL to an openeda.Si2.org panel where the coordinator can approve an account. The coordinator controls whether the account will be approved.

  • Do I have to login to openeda.Si2.org to approve these accounts?

    Yes, you must first login to your openeda.Si2.org account.

  • How do I approve the new accounts?

    You can access your company coordinator page two ways:

    • Use the URL in the email that was sent regarding the new user account request.
    • On your My Page there will be a link at the top of the page:
      Edit Company Members

    The "Edit Company Members" page has a table of company users. Pending accounts have a checkbox in the Approve column. If you decide to activate the account, check the box and click on the submit button at the bottom of the table.

  • How do I disable a company user account?

    Check the box in the Deleted column to set the user's account to a "deleted" status.

    NOTE: Deleteing a user will remove all their memberships from projects etc. Delete users carefully!

  • The user who registered an account is not a employee of my company. How do I get rid of the entry?

    Send an email to the Site Admin with the email address of the user so that the registration can be deleted from the database.
