OCP-IP Update:
In the last few months OCP-IP
has seen a flurry of activity. Thanks to
all our friends at SI2 for the opportunity to bring their members up to speed
with all that has been happening.
Our Specification Working
Group (WG) recently released the OCP 2.2 Specification. The new version
contains an EnableClk feature, support for
two-dimensional block burst sequences, non-blocking flow control options, a new
security profile and an incorporated verification section. The Cache Coherence
work has been integrated into the Specification WG, where the combined group
will continue development.
The System-Level Design WG has
released the OCP SystemC Channel Version 2.2. The new features in this version improve
model interoperability, further enhancing productivity in system level
modeling. The new model fully supports version 2.2 of the OCP
specification. This version of the
channel has undergone our most intense testing yet, utilizing our latest
regression test suite. The
regression suite ensures OCP-IP continues to supply a superior
level of code testing before releasing channels.
The Debug WG has proposed a
draft of the OCP Debug Interface Specification and reviewed this work with the
Specification WG.
To ensure alignment of our
Debug Specification with other industry bodies working in closely related
areas, the WG has recently established direct relationships and collaborative
efforts with other key players working in this space.
As part of this collaboration,
a white paper on this topic has been released by the Debug Group describing the
subject area and is posted at www.ocpip.org
OCP-IP’s Network On Chip (NoC) Benchmarking WG is meeting biweekly, and has released
their landmark White Paper on NoC benchmarking which
can be found at www.ocpip.org.
We continue introducing many
companies to our organization, as well as to our “infrastructure wheel,” which
can be found at: http://www.ocpip.org/membership/information/wheel
The Wheel was developed at the request
of members as a way to conveniently outline details and status of the profound
OCP infrastructure and deliverables.
Each “spoke” of the wheel diagram identifies content for that particular
category of infrastructure. By clicking on each of the major headings shown in
the wheel, visitors can readily review all deliverables and content available
to OCP-IP members as well as the current status of any associated workgroups or
organizational activity. This website utility was developed to enable readers
to quickly and comprehensively understand the already large and rapidly
expanding scope of benefits, activities and deliverables available to members.
Sincerely,
Ian Mackintosh
OCP-IP Chairman and President
