for materials that you are interested in that are distributed from OpenEDA.Si2.org.
Si2 will then set up an academic individual company account for you to register under.

ALL downloads on OpenEDA require login. Most materials require signed or
click-through licenses. As of February 27, 2008, materials that are covered by click-through licenses are available to visitor accounts.
There are also materials that contain the
copyright information or shrink-wrap license information and may be open
for download by visitor accounts. Check the (?) link next to a specific file listing
in a project for the required memberships and licenses for that file's download.
