XML schemas are the normative definitions of any XML-based standard. The schema defines the domain- specific vocabulary (DSV) and types of values in an XML database. The XML database must conform to its schemas, using the predefined elements and entering values that are compliant with the schema.
OpenStandards schemas, developed by Si2 members, implement the Open Process Specification (OPS), defining the DSV for capturing process data and interfacing with PDK generation tools.
This webinar–open only to Si2 members–introduces XML schema syntax that defines the OPS domain-specific vocabulary. We will explore the syntax and content of a schema using examples from the OPS schemas, building from the simple to the complex and covering the important schema elements used to create OPS schemas. After this class, you should be able to interpret a schema and use them when creating XML data.
